When we began, he was over tired and napped every 90 minutes for weeks. Finally, he caught back up and now naps every 3 hours for the first two cycles, taking 90 minute naps twice a day, so far, then stays awake for the final 3 hours before bedtime. While he will go to sleep after only 2 hours, he will not take a long nap (only a 45 minute nap instead).If you struggle with short naps, try this program! By extending our child's wake time to 3 hours instead of the recommended two, he immediately began taking 1.5-2 hour naps.For those who say wake time increases more gradually after 4-5 months, I did not find this was the case. Yes, he did exhibit a little more "crankiness" when making the jump from 90 minutes to 3 hours, but I found that a nap that did not occur at a 90 min/180 min interval would never exceed one sleep cycle (40-50 minutes).She is a genius!See all 226 customer reviews...
